Set up a receipt printer

Print receipts at the bar or the till from Where2. The printer connects over the internet with a short code, so there is nothing to set up on your network.

What you need

A Star CloudPRNT printer

For example the mC-Print3 or the TSP143IV.

Or an Epson TM printer

With Server Direct Print, for example the TM-m30III.

Internet and paper

Power, wifi or a network cable with internet, and a roll of 80 mm or 58 mm thermal paper.

Set up in 3 steps

The code and address below are examples. Where2 shows yours when you add the printer.

Star printers

1

Add the printer in Where2

Open Printers (in your phone ordering settings, under More options), tap Add printer and pick Star. Where2 shows a code like K7M4-QX9P and an address.

Test it

Tap Test print next to the printer in Where2. A slip with your venue name comes out and Where2 shows Printed ✓. That is it: receipts now print there. With more than one printer, give each a section name (Bar, Patio) so receipts go to the right place; the first printer takes everything else.

Troubleshooting

Online means the printer called Where2 in the last 15 seconds. Check that it has power and that its network light is on, then print its network status slip to see its address. Switch it off and on once.
